Join me on my adventure as I navigate the world of finance and minimalism to gain our freedom! I am a stay at home mom with two small kids. I married a brilliant genius who's a mad scientist meets entrepreneur meets dreamer who not only knows how to rake in the dough but spend it too. These posts are mostly about us starting over again after some serious blunders. Our goal is to retire in 12 years before the next year of the Monkey in 2028. It is also about minimalism (which we fell in love with in 2014), and homesteading (we bought a home and land that needed too much TLC), as well as raising two beautiful kids and more.

Before we became homesteaders, we had it (financially) made. Homesteading and having kids drained us of most of our financial resources in ways we didn't imagine (think of the movie Money Pit and kids who throw unexpected curveballs). But we have finally regained our footing and we are climbing back up in the world. No longer is homesteading our goal but being FREE is. We have claimed 2016 as our year. The year of the Monkey where we buy nothing and sell everything!
